High-performance Amlogic S905Y4 chipset

The new Amlogic S905Y4-B chipset and quad-core ARM Cortex-A35 CPU boost the performance of the MAG544/544w3 compared to the previous generation of MAG boxes. All of these technical features help the UI to work fast and play content smoothly.

4K HDR video at 60 fps

MAG544/544w3 set-top boxes support AV1 and HEVC codecs which enables them to play 4K content without overloading the Internet connection2. While H.264 requires 32 Mbps to process video, HEVC requires only 16 Mbps3.

Dolby Digital Plus™ surround sound

Backed by eight-channel Dolby Digital Plus™ audio, you can connect seven audio speakers and a subwoofer to your set-top box. This way, you evenly distribute audio tracks in space and let users enjoy an immersive experience while viewing content5.

Modern programmable remote controls

The MAG544 comes with a programmable IR remote control made of anti-slip ABS plastic. It’s durable—each button is designed to withstand 300,000 presses.

You have the option to set up code pages and IR systems. This way, you configure the remote control so that it avoids interfering with other devices in the room; or, instead, it can control the TV, air conditioner, and other devices equipped with an IR receiver.

USB ports for connecting peripherals

The set-top box comes with two USB 2.0 ports. With these, you can connect various peripherals to the device, such as audio speakers, keyboards, and mice. This makes entering text and using the built-in web browser much easier.
